Michel Salgado was born in As Neves, Spain, on October 22, 1975. He currently plays in the right back position for Real Madrid. He has been capped 53 times for Spain and was part of their Euro 2000 and 2006 FIFA World Cup.
Among his honors there are the Spanish Championship (2002, 2003, 2007), the Spanish Super Cup (2001, 2003), the UEFA Champions League (2000, 2002), the Intercontinental Cup and the European Super Cup (2002).
