Hidetoshi Nakata was born in Yamanashi Prefecture on the 22nd of January 1977. He plays as a midfielder and was capped 77 times for the national team of Japan, scoring 11 goals. He played in the World Cup in 1998, 2002 and 2006.
He won the Asian Cup Winners Cup, the Serie A Champions in 2001 (with AS Roma). He was awarded best Asian player in 1997. |
