Mirel Radoi was born in Drobeta Turnu-Severin on the 22nd of March 1981 and plays as a defender for Steaua Bucharest. He was capped 32 times for the national team and qualified at the final tournament of the EURO 2008.

He won 3 times the Romanian Championship in 2001, 2005 and 2006.
