FERNANDO HIERRO

Fernando Hierro was born in Velez-Malaga, Spain, on March 23, 1968. He was a center back and a defensive midfielder, and he was capped 89 times for the national team scoring 29 times. He participated to World Cup in 1994, 1998 and 2002, scoring once for each Championship and he was named in 2002 the top scorer of Spain. He played at Euro 96 and Euro 2000.

His trophies are: the title of Champion with Real Madrid in La Liga (1990, 1995, 1997, 2001, 2003), Copa de Rey in 1993, the Spanish Super Cup (1990, 1993, 1997, 2001), the Champions’ League (1998, 2000, 2002), the European Super Cup (2002) and the World Club Championship (1998, 2002).
