Dan Petrescu was born in Bucharest on the 22nd of December 1967. He played as a defender and was capped 95 times for the national team, scoring 12 goals. He was a member of the Golden Generation, participating at the World Cups 1994 and 1998 and at the EURO 1996 and 2000.
