Sergi Barjuan was born in Les Franqueses del Valles, Barcelona on December 28, 1971, was a Catalan left back defender. He was capped 56 times for the national team and he scored once. He played for his country at the 1994 FIFA World Cup, Euro 1996, the 1998 FIFA World Cup, and Euro 2000.
Sergi spent most of his career with FC Barcelona, and he won three La Liga titles and one Cup Winners' Cup with the club. He moved to Atlético Madrid in 2002, playing 3 seasons before finally retiring at the end of the 2004-2005.
