Anghel Iordanescu was born in Bucharest on the 4th of June 1950. He played as a striker during his professional football career. For the National Team he gathered 64 caps and scored 26 goals.
In his coaching career he won numerous titles, including: 4 Romanian Championships , 4 Romanian Cups, one European Super Cup, all with Steaua Bucharest. He coached Romania when it reached the Quarter Finals of the World Football Championship in 1994. He also qualified the National Team at the World Football Championship in 1996 and at the European Championship in 1998. |
